Salvation Army Red Kettle Launch
Friday, November 07, 2008
Wal-Mart CEO Lee Scott and Salvation Army officials launch the beginning of the holiday season at Walmart by ringing bells and staffing the Salvation Army red kettles at a Walmart's historic store #1 in Rogers Arkansas.

Lee Scott presents a check for $1.25 million from the Wal-Mart Foundation to The Salvation Army to show the company’s continuing support for the organization. Bell-ringers and their red kettles will once again be stationed at the entrances to Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs from Friday, November 26, through Wednesday, December 24, 2008.
