2nd Tier InitiativeThis expands our overall Supplier Diversity efforts by requesting that our primary suppliers utilize and report spending with diverse suppliers in the fulfillment of their contract with us. The 2nd Tier initiative serves as an enhancement to, and not as a replacement for, existing efforts aimed at increasing meaningful opportunities for diverse suppliers to participate as primary suppliers. Definition of a 2nd Tier supplierA 2nd tier supplier is one that supports a primary supplier in the delivery of goods and services to a customer, in this case, Wal-Mart. This collection website allows us to know how much of the business you do with us is the result of your spending money with minority and women owned suppliers. Reporting Instructions- Reporting by Primary Suppliers in Wal-Mart's 2nd Tier initiative is by invitation only.
- Please remember to include both Wal-Mart and Sam's Club related sales and purchases while reporting.
