Southern California Disaster Relief
We’re Committed to Giving Back to Communities in Time of NeedDuring the Southern California wildfires of 2007, we donated $1 million to the American Red Cross to help those impacted by the fires. The funds allowed the Red Cross to continue to provide food, shelter and counseling services to the evacuees. In addition to the cash contribution, our local stores and clubs in California have contributed more than 20 truckloads of merchandise such as water, blankets and clothing totaling more than $400,000. Our customers and associates continue to support the ongoing relief effort by donating items at collection sites found in all of our California-based stores and clubs.
