Optometry Students

Caring for the health of others is a noble calling, especially when it comes to something as important as eye care. However, we know it’s not easy or inexpensive to become a doctor. So we have committed much to the education of Optometrists. We are a proud sponsor of the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry (ASCO) and the National Optometric Student Association (NOSA). Our College Relations/Recruiting Department supports students and Optometry schools across the U.S. Each school has a local representative that will work closely with faculty and students to provide a variety of services: - Financial support - scholarships, community projects, equipment expenses for students, school growth, and various other student activities.
- Presentations - host dinner/lunch/classroom presentations to educate students about practice management, insurance and details of Corporate Optometry.
- Continuing Education - free continuing education credit for all licensed ODs and learning opportunities for students.
- Seminars/Doctor Meetings - Invitations are extended to Deans and key students to attend exclusive corporate meetings.
National Optometric Student Association (NOSA)The National Optometric Student Association is dedicated to increasing the numbers of minorities in Optometry. We support NOSA and are developing our relationship to assist in the education of future optometrists. To find out more about NOSA click here. Optometry ScholarshipsWe understand the rising costs of an optometric education may keep some people from joining the profession. So we have set up scholarships at each of the accredited Schools and Colleges of Optometry. Please visit with your school's financial services/scholarship office for more details. If you are not an Optometry student but would like to explore employment opportunities, please contact your local Wal-Mart or Sam's Club Vision Center management.
